Web 2.0

I used authorSTREAM to upload a PowerPoint so that I could post it on my blog. At first I was really struggling with this because no matter what I did the PowerPoint didn't seem to show up on the blog. I switched computers and that seemed to solve the problem, so I guess that my other computer does not have the necessary equipment for the job. All that being said once I switched computers it was an easy process! This would be such a great tool to post notes on a blog or web-site to help your students study or to catch up on the classes notes if they missed a day!

Posted below is a short little slideshow I made on Concert Etiquette!

Wiki

This was way out of my skill level. So far I have just added an event to my calender. I personally think that as a teacher a wiki account would be more useful than a blog since you can post assignments to it. However for giving out information the Blog is definatly easier. I found the Wiki site not to be very user friendly.

Digital Story Telling

I had so much fun creating this video! What a great resource. I hope you enjoying learning about my pups!

Goolge Doc.

I have always enjoyed using Google doc. I used it to help coordinate my wedding and all sorts of other things. I decided to make a grading rubric to post on here because it could be easily altered to fit any use. I find that using the "excel" is a bit simpler on Google docs than in actual Excel.

Delicious Account

I am not quite sure how I feel about this whole delicious thing. I personally do not book mark things to often and when I do I just use the traditional old system of adding it to my favorites. I look forward to playing with this some more to see if it grows on me.

Glogster Poster

My experience with Glogster was mostly pleasant. At first I was a little confused with how to make the poster but once I figured it out it was quite simple and actually kind of fun. I could see this as being a great tool for the classroom and I am excited to try some more posters.

Ganga

Music is an art that stretches across all cultures. It is a wonderful means of conveying all emotions from anger, pride, joy, sadness and hope. Without understanding the language you can still feel an emotional connection to music. One of my personal styles of music that I like to study and learn about is Ganga. Ganga is a wonderful musical style of Bosnia. It incorporates lots of dissonance that really energizes me and makes me feel ready to take on the day. It is what some would say and acquired taste that not all would enjoy or care to listen to, but for me it brings joy.
